The Tarot is often believed to have been originated in ancient Egypt or in the Kabbalistic esoteric teachings. It started becoming popular in Europe, in the form of playing cards, during medieval times, & the first documented tarot packs are usually traced back to Italy during that period.
Today, the use of Tarot cards as a form of divination & guidance through connecting to your higher self, has become fairly popular almost globally; though more in the West. Contrary to popular belief, the real essence & value of the Tarot lies not really in future predictions or fortune telling, even though an indication of that is what people most often, look forward to. It’s rather about making sense of the covert or mystifying patterns; circumstances; & stories marking, shaping, or recurring in our present lives, and to get some actual insight & clarity into the underlying karmic patterns; & life lessons that are causing them. THIS, is what truly gives us the empowerment we look for, from a Tarot reading! THIS is what allows us to move from the fear, cynicism, & confusion based place of helpless spectator to a more mentally aware, emotionally clearer, & spiritually conscious space, where we feel reinforced, & motivated to make more responsible changes; & more holistically well guided choices through life! 4. It can be great to offer deeper insights about the most important ongoing, & upcoming karmic & soul level lessons determining your destiny & the course of your life, thus offering invaluable wisdom & counsel on how to be best prepared to transcend those.
5. It is very important to frame clear, unambiguous questions to increase the possibility of getting the clearest guidance from the Tarot.
6. Before getting a reading, be prepared that it will give you answers that the universe needs you to hear; not those those necessarily that you want to hear.
7. It is not considered ethical to pose questions to the Tarot from the perspective of someone other than yourself, & about something not directly connected to you, since this would involve the consent of those persons & the involvement of their spirit guides.
8. No Tarot reading, no matter how good, is meant to be taken as something that is written in stone, or as something to take away your free will & power to change the course of your life, should that be your wish.
9. No Tarot reader, no matter how good, or experienced, can be completely accurate about everything, or at all times. The cards that are drawn for you are directed by your spirit & angelic guides or your higher self. The Tarot reader can offer the most ideal, intuitive indications through the contextual interpretations of these cards- using an amalgamation of card meanings; intuitive/psychic guidance; your information.
10. Finally, do NOT believe or give away your power to any Tarot reader who attempts, overtly or subtly, to create fear/helplessness inside you in any manner, & claims to know how to set things right by charging exorbitant sums of money. Remember, your power lies solely with YOU, at all times, & no one else!
